Day 1
You’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. No meals have been arranged for today.
Day 2
This morning is devoted to a special visit to the Giant Panda Breeding and Research Base where you’ll spend ample time checking out China’s national treasure. This is a wonderful opportunity to view the Pandas from early infancy through to their full-grown adulthood. You’ll also visit Wenshu Monastery - famous for its Buddhist cultural relics and exquisite garden. After lunch visit a traditional Chengdu Tea House to experience one of China’s oldest and most popular cultures. You’ll also stroll through the serenity of Wangjiang Lou Pavilion to admire some of the magnificent bamboo gardens. Afterwards adjourn for dinner to feast on some of Chengdu’s finest delicacies. Day 3
After breakfast, you’ll be met by your guide to begin a full day excursion to Leshan to view the worlds largest stone carved Buddha. Standing at a height of 71metres, construction of the Buddha first commenced in the 8th century and took a staggering 90 years to complete. After lunch, you’ll visit nearby Wulong Temple and enjoy a relaxing river cruise. Whilst on the cruise you’ll have uninterrupted views of the Giant Buddha and gain a better perspective of its enormity by seeing it from a distance. Later transfer back to your hotel for an evening free. (BL)
